Privacy notice
This notice explains how we use the personal information you give us. Last updated 20 October 2026.
Who we are
Germ3 is a trading name of AquaSafeComplianceServices Ltd. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17232452. Registered office 34 Rectory Field Crescent, London SE7 7DQ. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
Contact us about your data at hello@germ3water.co.uk.
What we collect
When you request a survey or contact us we collect the details you give us. That includes your name and company and your email and phone number. It also includes details of your buildings and anything you write in your message.
If we contacted you first
We sometimes email businesses that we think may need our services. We find the business name and email address on the business's own website or in public business listings. Where a person is named we also record their name and job title.
We use these details to send a small number of emails about our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses about services relevant to them. Every email tells you who we are and how to stop hearing from us.
If you ask us to stop we add your details to a do not contact list. We keep that list only so we never contact you again. If you do not reply we delete your details within twelve months.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and arrange a survey.
- To prepare a quote and carry out work you ask us to do.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where we keep in touch about work you have asked about we rely on our legitimate interests. We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Our website and form are hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf to run the site and deliver form messages to us. We share details with a laboratory or engineer only where needed to carry out work you have asked for.
Where a supplier processes data outside the UK we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to work we delete it within two years. If you become a customer we keep records for as long as the law requires. For financial records that is usually six years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information. You can ask us to correct it or delete it. You can object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email us to make a request.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
